William Parker

Billed as Peter Brötzmann’s special project, the four-day Krakow Jazz Autumn (Nov. 5-8/15) saw the German reedman perform with a changing and re-forming array of international musicians: Steve Noble (drums); William Parker(bass); drummer Hamid Drake; Joe McPhee (trumpet/saxophone); Peeter Uuskyla (drums); Per-Åke Holmlander (tuba); Paal Nilssen-Love (drummer) and Heather Leigh (pedal steel guitar). Most concerts were held at the Alchemia Club, with one at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology. See Festivals for a report by Ken Waxman.
